Dêlegur
Beşa DuyemMadge û Walt her roj xwarin didan Guro û bi hev re diçûn seyranê. Hez ji lîstikên bi Guro re dikirin. Guro hê jî kedî nebibû.
Piştî nîvrojek Madge ji malê derket. Ber bi jêrê ve meşiya û li derdora xwe mêzand. Mêrê xwe Walt dît.
Destê mêrê wê de çakûç sinca devûdora baxçe diediland.
Madge pirsî: “Guro li ku ye?”
Walt bersiv da jina xwe: “Nizanim” û dewam kir: “Beriya pênc deqeya li vê derê bû, belkî li pey kêvroşkekî çûbe.”
Madge got: “Anha ez wî nabînim” bi dengek bilind domand: “Were Guro, Guro…”
“Kûçikê baş were vir.”
Kûçik devê xwe vekir, li Madge û Walt mêzand û ber bi hêla wan baz da. Nêzikî bîst qewza sekinî.
Madge û Walt meşa xwe domandin. Guro hetanî şînahiyên bejinbilind baz da. Piştî demek Guro ji ber çavan wenda bû.
Madge got: “Guro dê paşê bigihîje me.”
Ji nişka ve dengek bihîstin. Ew deng ji nav daran dihat. Madge û Walt zilamek dîtin. Ev zilam ji nav daran ber bi hêla wan de dihat.
Madge û Walt vê zilamê nas nedikirin. Zilam pir dirêj û gelekî bi hêz xwiya dikir. Sermilên wî fireh bûn. Porê wî yê dirêj û stûr, riha wî ya reş hebû. Di destê wî de şepqeya wî hebû.
Walt got: “Dem baş” û domand:
“Îro hewa pir germ e.”
Mêrik got: “Erê gelekî germ e. Ez hînê hewa germ nebûme, ji hewa sar hez dikim.”
Madge kenî û got: “Ev der qet sar nîne.”
Mêrik jî got: “Na”
Di bêrîka mêrik de destmala ku rûyê xwe pê ziwa dikir hebû. Mêrikê domand: “Ez li xwişka xwe digerim. Navê wê Pat Johnson e. Mala wê li van deran e”
Madge got: “Tu birayê wê yê ku li Alaskayê dijî yî?”
Mêrik jî got: “Navê min Skiff Miller e. Ev ziyaretek bêxeber e. Xwişka min nizane ku ez li vir im.”
Ji me re qala Alaskayê bike.”
Walt jî got: “Belkî rojekî ji bo şîvê tu bibî mêvanê me.”
Skiff Miller got: “Careke din. Spas dikim lê ez tenê ji bo rojekê hatim vir. Ez ê sibê vegerim. Kareke min ya girîng li Alaskayê heye.”
Piştî van peyvan Guro ji nav şînahiyan derket. Miller rasterast li kûçikê mêzand û demeke nelebitî. Bi dengek nermik got: “Ev çawa çêdibe?”

White Fang
Part 2Madge and Walt fed Wolf every day. They took long walks with him. They liked to play with Wolf. Wolf still was not too friendly.
One afternoon Madge came out of the house. She walked down the steps and looked around. She saw Walt. He had a hammer in his hand. He was fixing the fence.
'' Where is Wolf?'' she asked.
''I don't know,'' Walt answered. ''He was here a minute ago. Maybe he ran after a rabbit.''
''I don't see him know,'' said Madge. ''Here, Wolf,'' she called.
They walked down the road and through the tall grass.
''There he is!'' said Walt. He pointed ahead.
Wolf was sitting on top of a large rock. The dog was watching them.
''Good dog,''shouted Walt. ''Come here.''
The dog opened his mouth. He looked at Madge and Walt and run toward them. He stopped about twenty feet away. Madge and Walt contınued to walk. Wolf ran into the tall grass. Soon they didn't see him.
''Wolf will catch up with us later,'' said Madge.
Suddenly they heard something. The sound was coming from the woods. They saw a man. He came out of the woods and walked toward them. Madge and Walt didn't know the man. He was very tall, and he looked very strong. He had wide shoulders. He had long hair and a thick, black beard. He was holding his that in his hand.
''Good afternoon,'' said Walt. ''Today is a very warm day.''
''Yes,'' said the man. ''It is very warm. I'm not used to warm weather. I like cold weather.''
Madge smiled. She said, ''It's never cold here.''
''No,'' said the man. He took a red handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped his face with it.
The man said,''I am looking for my sister. Her name is Pat Johnson. She lives somewhere around here.''
Madge said, ''You must be her brother from Alaska.''
''Yes,'' said the man. ''My name is Skiff Miller. This visit is a surprise. My sister doesn't know I am here.''
''She lives nearby,'' said Walt. ''Do you see that big tree over there? There is a little path near the tree. Walk up the path. Her house is the firs one on the right.''
''Thank you,'' Miller said.
The man started to leave.Madge said, ''We would like to visit you while you are here. We'd like to hear about Alaska.''
Walt said,''Maybe you can have dinner with us some day.''
''Thanks again,''Skiff Miller said,'' But I will be here for just one day. I'm leaving tomorrow. I have important business in Alaska.''
Just then Wolf ran across the grass. Miller stared at the dog. He kept staring.
''I don't believe it,'' he said softly.
